Island Of Rodrigues (110.1 Kmē) 12. Dataset excludes Agalega and St Brandon. 13. Estimates are based on the 2011 Population Census. 14. Estimates of population at the district level and for Municipal Council Areas (MCA) have been updated by allowing for births, deaths and migration. However, in the case of Village Council Areas (VCA), the estimates have been obtained by assuming a rate of increase of population of the same order as for the geographical district of which they form part. 15. The population estimates for Municipal Council Areas (MCA) and Village Council Areas (VCA) are given according to new boundaries as amended and gazetted in the Local Government Act 2011. (Act No. 36 of 2011) and the Representation of the People Act(GN no. 1 of 2012, 3rd January 2012) 16. Part of village council areas that have no population, have not been listed in the table.
