From Year 1938 to Year 1984, data are available yearly whereas as from year 1985 onwards the data are available in quarterly.

There will be 2 open data formats for this particular dataset:
	(i) From Year 1938 - Year 2019
	(ii) From 1st Quarter 1985 - 4th Quarter 2019

All the data are in million rupees

The data for year 2019 and each quarter of 2019 are provisional

The data for Exports of Goods (F.O.B) excludes Ship's Stores and Bunkers.

F.O.B means Free On Board

Exports of Goods (F.O.B) = Domestic Exports + Re-Exports

Total Exports = Exports of Goods (F.O.B) + Ship's Stores and Bunkers

Total Exports includes Export Oriented Enterprises

Total Imports (C.I.F) includes Export Oriented Enterprises

The Total Value of Trade = Total Exports (F.O.B) + Total Imports (C.I.F)

The Balance of Visible Trade = Total Exports (F.O.B) - Total Imports (C.I.F)

Data has been rounded to zero decimal place.

Blank cell means data not available

Zero means nil
