1. GDP at current market prices is the aggregate money value of all goods and services produced within a country out of economic activity during a specified period, usually a year, before provision for the consumption of fixed capital. It is a measure of the overall economic activity of a country.

2. Per capita GDP is the ratio of GDP at current market prices to population. It measures the level of economic development in comparison to other countries. In the absence of other regular and consistent indicators, per capita GDP is often used as a proxy indicator of standard of living and social progress.
